IGERT Trainee, Wes Ross was awarded Best Oral Presentation Award, MEMS Department Retreat 2014

The Call for Papers for the 2014 Workshop on Wireless Intelligent Sensor Networks (WISeNet) is now open. Abstracts due March 10, 2014.

Keith Rudd, an IGERT WISENet Trainee in the Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science department at Duke University, successfully passed his Ph.D. defense August 26, 2013 under the supervision of Dr. Silvia Ferrari. Keith’s dissertation “Solving Partial Differential Equations Using Artificial Neural Networks" presents a method for solving partial differential equations (PDEs) using artificial neural networks. The method uses a constrained-backpropagation (CPROP) approach for preserving prior knowledge during incremental training for solving nonlinear elliptic and parabolic PDEs adaptively, in non-stationary environments.

Four new IGERT WISeNet Trainees were announced July 2013.

IGERT Trainee, Matt Ross was awarded an NSF Graduate Research Fellowship (GRFP).

The Call for Papers for the 2013 Workshop on Wireless Intelligent Sensor Networks (WISeNet) is now open. Abstracts due March 15, 2013.

The 2013 WISeNet Application is available - due April 30, 2013.
